Dr. Christine R. Gonzales joined the Retina & Vitreous Center in July of 2008. Prior to that time, she was Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute’s Retina Clinic.
She has had over 50 articles, abstracts, and book chapters published and has received multiple honors, including an award for being a leading innovator in the field of medical and surgical retina.
She has been principal investigator in many clinical trials, including therapies for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and uveitis.
The Retina & Vitreous Center, which is the only retina clinic in Southern Oregon that participates in national clinical trials, offers the perfect setting to showcase Dr. Gonzales’ expertise.
In addition, she is an internationally recognized speaker and educator. Dr. Gonzales is fluent in Spanish.
