  • We will try to call you the day after your laser surgery to answer your questions or concerns. Sometimes patients may experience transcient blurry vision or blank spots after laser surgery. Let the technician know if you are experiencing these or any other visual symptoms.
  • If you have had a block (injection of anesthetic), leave the patch on your eye for 6 hours. If you have double vision or irritation, re-patch your eye until the next morning.
  • Using your eyes after laser surgery will not cause harm to your retina or cause vision loss.
  • Your eyes may still be dilated and may be sensitive to sunlight. Wearing sunglasses is recommended.
  • It is important to watch your balance after laser surgery while your eyes are dilated and your eye is patched.
  • It is okay to shower and wash your face following laser surgery.
  • If you experience discomfort or swelling you may use a cold pack over the eye area. Tylenol, Aleve, or your normal pain reliever may also be used.
  • Our follow-up appointments are scheduled so that we may monitor your vision closely. If you have any questions or concerns inbetween your appointments, please feel free to call our office at (541) 488-3192 or (800) 681-9970.
